Data for Neighbourhoods and Regeneration (Data4nr) consultation

Data for Neighbourhoods and Regeneration (Data4nr) is a website tool - www.data4nr.net - that signposts users to neighbourhood-level regeneration and renewal related data and resources across a range of data suppliers (including Neighbourhood Statistics, Nomis, DWP, DCSF etc). OCSI data tool supports equalities and diversity work

OCSI have produced a comprehensive mapping of socio-economic data across the South-East for the six core equality groups - gender, age, ethnicity, disability, faith, and sexual orientation.  The Equalities and Diversity Data Tool provides baseline data on these groups, as well as comparisons against the whole population.

OCSI on Youtube!

We have loaded a presentation onto Youtube, showing the OCSI Output Area Index of Multiple Deprivation data. The 10 minute movie gives you an overview of our research project  to explore and identify "hidden" pockets of deprivation in rural areas of Norfolk. The data is presented using the Geowise InstantAtlas software.

OCSI Output Area Index of Multiple Deprivation data available

The OCSI modelled Index of Multiple Deprivation data at Output Area (OA) level is now available, covering all OAs across England.
The data was developed in work with the Norfolk Rural Community Council, and validated at national level by OCSI on a project commissioned by the national Commission for Rural Communities.

OCSI ‘Deprivation in rural areas’ published

The Commission for Rural Communities (CRC) has published the OCSI report ‘Deprivation in rural areas: Quantitative analysis and socio-economic classification’ . The report is available from http://www.ruralcommunities.gov.uk/publications/deprivationquantitativefullreport.
OCSI were commissioned by CRC to undertake research to help fill gaps in the evidence base on rural deprivation, which was highlighted by the CRC Disadvantage Study in 2006. [...]
