Maps and GIS

an example showing a key dataset matched to a map of the areaMapping your data can help you clearly identify the social and economic deprivation patterns in your area, as well as highlighting where services are not matched to users' needs. Effective use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is key to ensuring you are making the most effective use of datasets available within your organisation.

In Oxfordshire, we are working with the Supporting People group to identify whether sheltered housing services are located in the right areas to reach vulnerable older people living on a low income. In Rotherham, our analysis is helping the Borough ensure that the new Children's Centres are well-placed to provide services to the most deprived communities.

As well as analysing and mapping your own datasets, we can map the key national datasets across your area. We provide a comprehensive range of GIS services including:

  • Mapping and analysing key datasets across your area, including data available within your organisation
  • Accessibility and location of services
  • Hotspot and neighbour analysis
  • 'Any geography - to - any geography' lookup tables
  • Geocoding and cleaning your existing datasets
  • Data translation and loading, including OS MasterMap

With extensive experience in providing GIS services, we can help you make effective use of the evidence base - please contact us for further details.
